Beagle dials 911; saves diabetic owner
A Bite and Bark That Saved a LifeOooh, my sentimental streak is showing. But the story is pretty interesting; it's not just that the dog got bored while waiting for his prone person to get up and take him out (my first guess when I heard about the story), he actually was trained to do this. They train dogs to warn the owner of low or high blood sugar, and then if he fails to react in time and goes comatose, to bite down on the cellphone and bark at the 911 operators. Coolio.
