Satire piece on the National Sales Tax
My third piece on LRC, about the absurdity of Libertarians spending time dreaming up new taxes for statists to impose on us.

But you can avoid a sales tax on new goods and services. Just buy used or buy underground, and you won't pay the tax. Even if NST is a lateral move in every other aspect, it's quite a move up in this aspect.
Your "fair murder" quip is funny though. You mentioned "the current unfair and anti-progressive Federal Death Penalty." You forgot "racist." I recently saw a sign at UNCG reading, "Stop the racist death penalty." I suppose they support a non-racist death penalty. Just like those people at antiwar rallies holding the "Stop racist wars" signs who apparently support non-racist wars.
I let go of the law, and people become honest.
I let go of economics, and people become prosperous.
I let go of religion and people become serene.
I let go of all desire for the common good,
and the good becomes common as grass.
When the will to power is in charge,
the higher the ideals, the lower the results.
